Sedonia Diaz, OD
Dr
Diaz was born and raised in the Salinas Valley. She attended UC Berkeley
with a double major in physics and music. She received her BA degree in
music in 1966 and a BS degree in optometry in 1978. She received her Doctor
of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley in 1980.
After
interning at the SF Veterans Hospital, Dr Diaz practiced in Salinas, working
with a largely Spanish-speaking migrant worker population. She later relocated
to Santa Clara where she joined Kaiser Permanente. She has worked at Kaiser
Milpitas since 1981.
Dr
Diaz has served on the MIlpitas Communications Consultants Committee for
improving patient-doctor relations. She is certified in diagnostic and
therapeutic pharmacology, California Board of Optometry.
Dr
Diaz lives in Milpitas with her husband and son. She is fluent in Spanish
and also know some French, German and Italian. She enjoys classical music
and the visual arts especially painting, textiles and film.
